Safety Tips on Facebook

Do not put complete profile of yourself and photos on Facebook! Don’t be so easy to make or add friends on your Facebook!. This advice seems no so popular and even ignored by Facebookers.

Yes indeed, because of the shifting concept and the idea of a friendship, so never mind the fact that we only have a few friends in the real world as long as we have a lot (hundreds, thousands) of friends on social networking sites.
People can consider exist if they can show how many friends they had. And with more and more friends, who sometimes they just do not know or even remember who he was or where to meet, the more vulnerable the data exposed ourselves to parties outside of our control.

One example case reminds us of the dangers of hanging out on Facebook is arbitrary loss event of a teenager named Nicola lemanetta (14). Her family being angry and feel lost, she is gone with her boyfriend, jason (18) which is known through Facebook.

Maybe Nicola is just one of many victims socially ‘excessive’ which originated from the introduction on Facebook. Well, so if we do not want to become the next victim, below its good measures preventive that can be executed when we are on the Facebook world’s:

  1. Do not complete profile or the data of yourself on Facebook. Obviously the more complete the profile / data self-installed, the easier to get friends. But on the other hand, the more risk we are also data misused (abused)
  2. Do not put the pictures of you that if you do not feel comfortable if the image is freely spread out. Remember, although the image is “just” posted on your Facebook account, it is tantamount to spread as public image. Once it is placed and scattered, it is very difficult (and nearly impossible) you can take your photos from the Internet. Thus, be selective in a pose and post your photos.
  3. Do not indiscriminate ‘add friend’ or approval at the request of a person to be your friend. How to sort and select them easily, see how the number of “mutual friends” between you and the person is. The less “mutual friends” is meaning the fewer friends you are familiar with him, which means more risk. Make sure you only receive a “friendship” that “mutual friends” was quite a lot.
  4. Do not carelessly accept photo tag. Its okay to hate “fancy tagging”, but Try more selective. once you plunge into Facebook, please being diligent to check “surrounding circumstances”. Because we sometimes find ourselves pictures that are uploaded and tagged by other people, but we do not like the image is distributed. Soon we “UNTAG” ourselves from these photographs and if necessary ask your friends who upload the photos to pull out it.
  5. Do not delay, when you find your profile data used by others for things beyond your control, take action immediately. Let it be, it will go on and make it more destructive impact, at least to comfort yourself. Report directly to the service manager to immediately revoke the asphalt information (real but fake) it. Or, ask the person or party if can or know how to deal with the above.
  6. Do not be easily consumed persuasion new people you met on Facebook. Because you need to remember that people often disguise his real identity in cyberspace. What appears in cyberspace such as Facebook is not necessarily a reflection of the original conduct themselves in the real world. It could be someone who looks good, decent in Facebook turned out to have the opposite character in the real world. Therefore should be careful of new friends in cyberspace.

hope this ttips can help you to surf your friend in cyber space and make real friend on real world

sometimes they just do not know or even remember who he was or where to meet, the more vulnerable the data exposed ourselves to parties outside of our control.
