The design is a combination of function and emotion. And because it involves the emotions, then the touch of the hand (human feeling) on the design becomes very important. Regarding on that issue, the process of designing the car not only can be done with the computer programming. The designer needs to form a real car with the actual size (1: 1) by using clay (clay).

After the clay model hardens, the designer team will feel the indentations of that car with a touch of the hand and they make it perfect form in accordance with the body that they want.
