Diesel vs. Gasoline Engine

August 30th, 2009 benna No comments

Before using common rail, we told about the machine that is now used in general based on fuel oil. there are only two types, namely gasoline and diesel.

Among the techniques, diesel engine known as CI (compression ignition) engine with the ignition or compression. Meanwhile, gasoline engine called SI (spark ignition) engine with spark ignition (spark plugs).

In the diesel engine, combustion is triggered by the air or be compressed in the cylinder. Due to compression, the air pressure becomes very high. The same temperature reaches the highest point of  diesel fuel. Therefore, the solar injected to the air, burned directly. In this way, does not require diesel engine ignition system or spark fireworks.
To get the high pressure, the difference in compression must be high. For diesel engines is ranging from 16 to 25: 1. Meanwhile, gasoline engine 6 – 12: 1. Comparison of compression determines the efficiency of a machine. The higher the comparison of compression, the engine will more efficient. However, comparison of compression can not be determined by the board. Must also consider the nature and quality of fuel that will be used

The Master of Diesel Engine

Technology “Common Rail” vessel is the gods for the modern diesel engine. With common rail, diesel engine into the car class or exclusive premium cars such as Jaguar and BMW 7 Series. City car also does not escape from the obsession with the diesel engine is the latest technology.

For example, Fiat has successfully created 1,300 cc diesel engine equipped with a 70 hp with fuel consumption of 3-4 km or liter/100 average 25 km / liter. So diesel engine is not only owned the truck and bus community large or heavy equipment and ships. Read more…

The valve is one of the most important part of the machine, which works primarily with the principles of the four steps (4-no). Function together like the valve in the heart of man. This is the valve that regulates the amount of fuel and air that can enter the engine and then converted into energy

Next, the valve is also tasked to set up “waste” to be removed so that the burning mixture of fuel and air is still fresh to go smoothly to the engine. To set, new energy that will be burned and the pulp removed, is done by a different valve. The Name is valve and sucking dispose
